So, for my last fix of the Summer I requested a rompers & dresses only fix. That’s the great thing about Stitch Fix, you can request items you’d like them to send you when you schedule a shipment. While you can schedule automatic monthly fixes, right now I’ve got my account set to ship on demand. So whenever I’m feeling like my closet needs a refresh or have a special occasion coming up I schedule a fix and leave my stylist detailed notes about what I’d like or let it be a surprise. So many options. Read my post about Getting the Most Out of Stitch Fix to learn more. I don’t know about you but I’ve been enjoying a summer without alarm clocks and bedtimes. In order to make the first week of school less of a shock to our system I like to ease us back into the school year with a bedtime routine. We start 4 weeks out and increase our bed & wake-up times by 15 minutes until school starts. Read more about how we Ease into our Back to School Routine here and download my free printable schedules. I’ve shared my tips for Planning a Family Beach Vacation, Planning A Trip to Disney and today I’m going to share with you some of the “weird” things I do before a vacation. Oh sure I do all the normal list-making, packing, making sure the cat has extra food, the stove is turned off (OCD anyone?) and those sort of things. But, I also do a few additional things that are really all about making the idea of coming home more inviting. No, this is NOT a sponsored post, I really am just that obsessed with Bahama Buck’s snow cones. Anytime I tell someone my snow cone secret I always get the same reply, “I didn’t know you could do that, what a great idea!” I’ve made a video to tell you all about it and B even joined in on the fun, although he was a bit nervous in front of the camera ?? And I love it! To my husband, Bunco was something his mother used to do and yes the first group I subbed in was with some neighbors who are a little older than me. But my current group is filled with ladies that are about the same age as me and are in the same season of life. In my opinion it’s important to surround yourself with like-minded people as you go through different seasons in life. When B was a baby I had a group of ladies that I would get together with, aka a Playgroup. We would share all our latest baby raising stories, ask our “is this normal questions”, enjoy a reason to get dressed and out of the house and some adult conversation. I’ve always felt really lucky to have had that sort of support as a new mom. Now as a mom of an elementary schooler it’s been great to have a group to talk with about new challenges and get ideas from. What is Bunco? They are great for getting things like capers out of tall, thin jars. I took off work and spent the day there with B to avoid the weekend crowds. It really was so much fun to see his imagination come alive as we explored the different areas of the museum. There is so much to do and see but these 4 exhibits were our favorites. Now you can use digital coupons and rebate apps to save when you shop. Check out my post on Modern Day Couponing to learn about my favorite digital coupon and app sites. I’ve already earned over $50 through Ibotta! Use my referral link to join and instantly get $10! Really, not a joke. Read my coupon post to learn more. I also learned that HEB recently launched a digital coupon program! I’ve been considering changing from Kroger to HEB but it will be hard to change my grocery shopping system.
